The UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, gathered with his family in a solemn moment of mourning as they bid farewell to his brother, Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed.
The funeral prayer took place on a Thursday, and it was a heartfelt event at the Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed the First Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
In attendance were prominent figures such as Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice-President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court, as well as Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, were also present, accompanied by other respected Sheikhs and family members.
During the prayer, the Royal Family prayed for peace, mercy, and divine rewards for Sheikh Saeed’s selfless dedication to serving the nation and its people.
The UAE President also prayed for solace during this difficult time.
Following the prayer, both UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed were seen participating in lifting Sheikh Saeed’s body to its final resting place.
The burial took place at the serene Al Bateen Cemetery in Abu Dhabi, where Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed was laid to rest with honor and reverence.
